Faith Evans, Husband Face Drug Charges
Jan 28, 7:47 AM (ET)
HAPEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - R&B singer Faith Evans and her husband, record executive Todd Russaw, were arrested on drug possession charges. Evans and Russaw were charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana and booked at the Fulton County Jail, WSB-TV reported Wednesday. A spokeswoman at the Hapeville Police Department would give no details Wednesday morning. Evans, 30, earned a Grammy nomination for her duet "Can't Believe" with Carl Thomas, recorded on her 2001 album, "Faithfully." She recently appeared in "The Fighting Temptations," a movie starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyonce Knowles. Evans also has worked with Whitney Houston and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, who signed Evans to his Bad Boy label and produced her first album. In 1995, Evans married Christopher Wallace, known as The Notorious B.I.G. Wallace was killed in a drive-by shooting in March 1997. Evans, a native of Newark, N.J., recently moved to the Atlanta area.
