SAK vs Xikar

I'm going to get one of these two in the very near future. Which should it be?

i recently acquired a SAK and i must say that the level of control and the precision of putting the cut on the cigar is excellent. i've never used a xikar, so i can't speak to that but my old cutter was a Zino, and i would definitely grab the SAK if both were on the table.

SAK, between those two. A Palio is nice to have around too.

I've got both and the SAK is my favorite, the Xikar works fine but after cutting about the same amount of cigars the SAK is sharper (testing Xikar customer service now as both my cutters were sent off for sharpening this week). Of the cutters I've used these two are the best.

Xikar's customer service is top notch -- if your cutter ever gets dull, just send it in for resharpening, free of charge. Even better, as many can attest, they will sometimes send back a brand new unit in exchange.

Sorry, I can't help you.

I can go either way on this choice of cutters.
I use the Xicar when at home, but bought the SAK so I wouldn't have to carry a cutter AND a pocket knife.

Both work equally well for me.

I have both. Got the SAK on cigarbids for a great price. I have sent my Xikar in to be sharpened and they sent a new one back. Like others have said, great customer service.

I carry my Xikar with me when I'm out and use it. But when I am at home, it's the SAK.

I have both and have used both. My preference is the SAK. I will admit however that the Xikars customer service is top notch!! Not only do I prefer the cut of the SAK, I've also found a lot of uses for the SAK, as it comes in handy to have a sharp little knife in my pocket.

Each of these cutters work great and are very reliable. Xikar has repeatedly demonstrated exceptional customer service. As you probably already know, it's going to come down to personal preference. I'm biased because I've used a Xikar Xi for the past four years. It's always worked flawlessly and my one experience with customer service was excellent. I've tried the SAK on a couple of occassions and can see why people like that one so much too. It delivered a very nice clean cut every time.

Good luck

SAK for me as a result of the precision of the cut!
