Hamlet Paredes, Torcedor
For those who may not have heard this name, Hamlet Paredes is a young, Cuban-born, torcedor. He's left Cuba, and has started making cigars for the domestically-available market. Paredes is a LEGEND among those who love and value Habanos.
He has teamed with Rocky Patel, and premiered his first cigar at the IPCPR show here in New Orleans. Jeff and Brenda spent some time with him. Anyway, he has been featured in a video interview with Rocky Patel's marketing department, you can watch it on their site or on Vimeo

I have a pre-order coming from CI. I'll smoke it and post a review as soon as I get them.

I also just pre-ordered a fiver. Looking forward to trying the sticks. Thanks for the heads up.

Just returned from a trip today to find the fiver on my desk. Will throw in the humi and burn one shortly.
Update: The first inch of my Solomon was very bold (which I loved) then the remainder of the stick hit its stride with a smooth full flavor. Simply put, it was delicious. I would say it is more than "medium" which it advertises. I will buy more. --Dan Last edited by jeepdad; 11-12-2015 at 10:08 AM. |

Got my order yesterday. I'll give them the weekend to stabilize before I burn one. They smell like candy...(in a good way)
