Bobalu in Austin

Does anyone ever get any of their cigars? I've been by the shop, but they seem a little pricey.

Is it true that Bobalu custom rolls Kinky Friedman's cigars?

I think Kinky leases them his name, or vice-versa. I'm pretty sure he smokes habanos.

Haven't been to Bobalu in a while. I usually go to Heroes. However, whenever I'm in the downtown area (which is pretty infrequent, now that I work way the hell up north near Pville), I always stop by and pick up a fresh rolled. I wouldn't say they're great... but a novel idea.

At our Post Turkey Day Crawl I was gifted a Babalu Nicaraguan I think....it was a very smooth and tasty smoke. One of the Dallas guys...now in New Braunfels...has hit Babalu a couple of times and says he likes em. They are a bit pricey but seem to be good.

And yes he makes Kinky's smokes.
