Real Rock & Roll died at the end of 1967. Yes, I am sick of the garbage that is around today. I hardly listen to any rock stations anymore.

This is why I listen to internet radio. KPIG (still free with the radio AOL stream), RadioParadise, KCRW, merciless.org, and many others. I am so sick of the corporate stations that feed us the same crap over and over. I try very hard not to pigeonhole myself into one era, one genre, or one station. I want to hear a variety, and expand my horizons. I still like some rock, but if I hear another REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, or Journey song again I'm gonna hurl.

The stuff I used to consider rock isn't really rock anymore..,. Springsteen on CMT? I listen to a lot of classical, jazz and stuff that is no of the above. Among my favorite CDs are the KCRW "Rare on Air" series and their "Eclectic" CDs.
Whether Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, Peter Himmelman, and others are in one or another genre is pointless to me. I listen to what moves me. And no I do not dance in my underwear. That member of the month thing is lost now isn't it???

Although I listen to a lot of different music, I grew up in the 70s/80s so I do have a soft spot for some rock; Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Stones, Grand Funk. I don't listen to the "rock" stations, but I do have enough of these on CD so I can hear what I want, when I want.
