yes the nitro will check and age of course the poly under will not. You can google it unless you are doing a transparent finish there is no need to remove all the poly. Like my last post said it gives you a great smooth base coat to start with

I did this Tele in a vintage white - it was relic I used compressed air to get some finish checking. It sold real quick.



Olympic white relic - I gig with this one often



and some of my acoustics -I like small bodied Gibsons
