I've never tasted strawberries in my cigars
or chocolate, or leather, or oak or lemonade for that matter.
All I've ever got was a sense of creamy...or smooth..as opposed to harsh and bitter. I do detect different types of flavors, in that a maduro certainly has a different taste than a natural or EMS. I read, many years ago, that cigar manufacturers would laugh at the descriptions of cigars in CA, and other magazines. (hints of leather and cocoa) And really, don't all manufacturers follow the same routines, from harvesting, aging, rolling...etc? Except for flavored cigars, how can any of them really impart a particular taste like cocoa?
