It's amazing how good these things can be sometimes.
The last month or so I've been concentrating on the old villazon from the grtrx stash. Mostly a box of bolivar fuerte coronas, but the last few days it's been unbanded lonsdales. they appear to be a fuma of sort, short filler with pigtail and wrapped foot. Things have great broadleaf, dark and nice, well put together, not just a loose and crappy $1 bundle. Sparkles of bloom. They smoke perfectly, but they don't hold an ash well.
I'd have thought spanish twist, but dunno. They don't exactly taste like a villazon. Point is, these things are awesome. They are everything that I look for a maduro cigar. No idea what these 50 year old beauties would be. Still got most of the bundle, and they've just become the next month's lineup. |
