Lift a glass! Drinking is good for you!

Probably not at 9AM, but here it is, nonetheless...

Great article and thanks for posting....confirms what I already kind of knew -- had my first taste of alcohol (bourbon) at 12 and never looked back.

A society best handles its available intoxicants by regarding them calmly and rationally, and by understanding that people have the capacity (and the responsibility) to consume them in sensible, even life-enhancing ways.
Bingo!

I'd only add that it's best to avoid the 'get buzzed just for the sake of...' scenario via cheap, low-quality alcoholic beverages, many of which - coolers and pre-mixed cocktails especially - contain atrociously high sugar (often processed) levels, and stick to the 'good stuff'.

Certainly, embracing and integrating a reasonable level of alcohol consumption into one's normal lifestyle is the way to go, should one wish to.

And if one doesn't... well, that's a personal choice.

Its nice to find validation in one's choices. Now if you could please link us to the article that provides conclusive evidence that cigar smoking enhances the benefits of moderate alcohol consumption...
