Xikar event in LA

.....that would be Lower Alabama, Daphne to be exact.

Had a great time at DeCuba in Daphne. Smoked a few cigars and had several pints of West Coast IPA to go along with them.
Nelson, the Xikar rep was very helpful and informative and Chris , the owner was the perfect host as usual. We also had some great entertainment, Eric Erdman.......this was my first time to hear him play, I instantly became a fan! I would guesstimate we had about 30 people out for the event, kinda hard to tell with people swapping time indoors talking with Nelson & Chris and spending time out on the back deck listening to some fine tunes. The weather was near perfect with just enough chill in the air to warrant firing up the pits on the back deck.
I started out my night with one of my own, a "bundle" cigar from Island Smoke Shop.....my first one of these....VERY nice!! Then I tried one of the Xikar cigars, another one I had never tried before, the Habano squared. This was a very nice cigar as well. A square box-pressed cigar with a Habano 2000 wrapper and Nic filler. Started out medium, picked up strength for the midsection and remained constant til the end. A very flavorful smoke, very smooth, medium bodied cigar IMO. The third cigar of the evening was the Cain F.
I also picked up a new Xicar triple flame lighter and a new Xikar multi-tool cutter.....@ 20% off!!
Overall a good night! Can't wait to see what the weekend may bring!
