NFL (Week14) picks...
Here are my picks for SHOWDOWN SUNDAY:
Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens - Ravens Ravens' backup Anthony Wright is hot and the team is in playoff contention. Nothing against Marv Lewis and the Bengals, but the Ravens are hungry! San Diego Chargers @ Detroit Lions - Lions The Chargers have lost 17 of their past 21 games under coach Marty Schottenheimer and would own the 2004 draft's No. 1 pick if the season were to end today. Need I say more! Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers - Bears Just because it's the home team! Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaguars Texans' David Carr is hurt (Shoulder) and Jaguars' Leftwich, Smith, Johnson, running back Fred Taylor and tight end , Kyle Brady have a balanced, ever-improving and potentially explosive offense. Seattle Seahawks @ Minnesota Vikings - Seahawks Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander is on pace to finish with a career-high in carries and remains the heart of Seattle's offense despite the emergence of a potent passing attack. Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper has thrown eight picks in six games. He must make sound decisions under pressure. Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints - Saints The Saints have won their past three games against Tampa Bay 'Nuff said! Washington Redskins @ New York Giants - Giants Jim Fassel is on the hot seat and might be fired before next season. Fassel's players have responded with strong play when those rumors flowed in the past. Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles Since losing to the Cowboys 23-21 in Week 6, the Eagles have won seven consecutive games to overtake Dallas in the NFC East. If the Eagles win, they will create a two-game lead over Dallas with just three to play. Oakland Raiders @ Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers Both teams suck, but Callahan called the Raiders STUPID in public! That will pop their bubble to win. Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans - Colts The Colts won the first meeting between these two teams, and a season sweep would be a substantial step toward winning the AFC South. Steve McNair's injury (calf) will limit his movement and make him easy pickings for the stubborn Colt defense. Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers - 49'ers Arizona won the first meeting between these teams, but it has not won on the road all season. The 49'ers have covered nine of their last dozen home games when playing with revenge. New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills - Jets Once again, both team suck and are playing under their potential.Drew Bledsoe has a concussion and won't be in the game long if he plays. Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos - Broncos Just because I HATE THE CHEFS!!!!! GO BRONCOS!!! Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots - Patriots The Patriots have won three of the last four games between these teams. The Dolphins stand two games behind the Patriots with just four games to play. Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons - Falcons The return of Michael Vick not only gives the Falcons fans something to get excited about, but it also gives the team an opportunity to finish strong and build momentum and confidence heading into the 2004 season. St. Louis Rams @ Cleveland Browns - Rams The Browns have lost five of their past six and are headed for a losing season as a result of inconsistency at quarterback, inexperience on defense, running back William Green's off-field trouble and a lack of talent on their offensive line. and those are my winners!
