3 Famous Smoke Shop house brands
I recently bought 5-packs of Famous' Olor Fuerte, Maroma, and Nicaro. I've smoked only one of each so far, so I haven't made a good assumption on these cigars, but...
The Maroma churchill Connecticut is well constructed but a bit soft. It lit easily, the draw was easy, and the burn was very consistant throughout the cigar. This cigar is very very mild, but with a decent taste. It is also a mixed filler cigar. It wasn't a great cigar but I did nub the thing. The taste was one dimentional. An ok cigar but I probably would not buy this one again. The Nicaro Toro is billed as a full strength Honduran withNicaraguan tobaccos. Not even close. It was the tastiest of the three cigars. Again, well constructed, good draw. I did have to touch it up a couple of times because of uneven burn. It had a nice nutty aroma. I might buy a box of these for smoking out in the workshop or kicking around in the yard. The third cigar was the Olor Fuerte Robusto. I was expecting something good from this cigar. Construction was ok, not great. It did burn evenly throughout. Draw was good, but the strength of a "fuerte" and taste were lacking. Maybe these need more time to rest. I hope these get better with some age on them.
