RIP George Michael

The Sports Machine is no more. Dead of complications of leukemia at age 70.

He looked pretty good if he died at 70.

RIP Bro, you told me many a score I was interested to hear, and entertainingly so, in a non-ESPN venue.

Rarely missed his sport reporting on WRC in DC. And during football season when he worked with Sonny Jurgensen were classics. RIP George.

Kornheiser went in and did his radio show on his day off Christmas Eve to do a tribute to George. Apparently a lot of folks in the media around here owe their careers to him. He paid his staff very well, saying they deserved it for putting up with him. If he hadn't have done anything other than show the Jack Russell Terrier races he would have been OK by me. Sounded like a pretty good guy.
