Herm Edwards to Chiefs?
ESPN is reporting a 4 year, $12M contract. Jets get a 4th round pick in return.
I think the Jets got hosed.

How did the Jets get hosed? They got a 4th round draft pick for a guy they were probably going to fire anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chiefs in the AFC championship game within two years. IMHO

IMO this is good for both teams. Edwards is due for a fresh start, I think he is a very good, not great but very good coach and agree with the comment that KC's "D" needs a fire lit under them vice a guy that cries every time they win. As for the Jets, they needed a new direction, some new blood leading the team and the extra 4th round pick can't hurt. Win/Win as I see it.

The Chiefs are going to create the position of "Clock Co-Ordinator" to work alongside the Offensive and Defensive Co-Ordinators.

IF KC was willing to take Chad as well, the Jets would toss in some draft picks!

It appears to be a good hire, then.

Im fine with it, as long as he brings back Al Saunders (provided he doesnt get a head coaching job). The offense is a veteran group, to say the least, that hasnt slowed down a bit. BUT if Saunders isnt retained there's no way that Roaf and Shields return to start on a new offensive scheme. They'd retire. And an average offense with that defense spells doom.
