This is the guy that said there hasn't been any good music written in twenty years.

The album's pretty good. I don't like it as much as his last one (or the one before) but its right up there with his best.

As for there not being any good music in the last 20 years, it doesn't seem like Dylan listens to much that came around after the 2nd world war, so you just kind of have to give him a break on that. He's just old timey.

" believe. Got a 5-star review in Rolling Stone"

I wonder what the music magazines are saying about it.

It's 2005 - 20 = 1985......I say it goes farther back not VERY much good music in a long, long time

from 1985 until now ....name me some music worth listening to, seriously

IMO NONE of those could carry Dylan's sweaty jockstrap, if he wore one, even. And on top of that I think Dylan has always sucked! But that's just personal preference.

Outside of Blues/Jazz (which I don't care for, BTW) and Bluegrass( which I love), there are damned few MUSICIANS anymore. Being able to really PLAY useta be essential. Now, not so much.

I'd like to think that he meant 'good' as in bands-artists who's music will endure for many years. Probably lots of decent music but none that will be remembered a few years later.

I can't think of many
