One time a member here was selling digital hygrometers
One time a member here was selling digital hygrometers at a good price as a special deal, and I purchased a couple of them from his website. I cannot for the life of me find it, and want to get a couple more, since they were really good.
Does anyone remember who that was or the site?

Found it. Did not search back far enough. It was LittleHavanaCigars.com and the "perfecto hygrometer." Best ones that I have used so far. Even came through Katrina in a couple of floating coolerdors.

Of my several hygrometers, the only one that was dead on for the Salt Test was my rectangular Radio Shack. The others were all about 7-8% high. I did not have as good success with little havana as you did. Hopefully, just an isolated incident.

I have a couple and they work great. I like that they are small enough and take up little room in my humi's.

I think it is hit or miss with these little inexpensive hygrometers. They may be accurate to within a percent or two. But I've found that just means they are consistent and not reading the correct humidity.
I've got two little havanas (cigar and squarish one) and they both read 8% high, one radio shack that reads right on and a Western Caliber II that I use in my instrument case, so I didnt salt test it.

I also have two little havanas and they are 8% high as well. Major bummer as the format is cool.
