Sam Adams October fest beer

I found it at sams club the other day. About 26.00 per case. Seems to taste rather nice.

Got my 1st case of the season at BJ's. $22.99

I've had a couple of bottles and it seems to be a good batch this year.
Seems a little early though. But not out for long so getting it while it's here. Probably my favorite Sam Adams brew.

I've run through a couple of 6's myself. Love it in a glass, because it has a really nice color to it. Makes me long for a Pumpkin Ale.

Exactly why I like this beer. I'm not an IPA guy at all. IPA reminds me of the "Bitter beer face" commercial a few years back. Give me malty and I am a happy camper.

Had some SAOF this past weekend. I agree with charlieb... a good batch this year.

Based upon this thread I bought a 6 pack and just tried one. I agree with all of the comments here, very nice, even on an extremely hot Texas day.
If you can get your hands on some be sure to try the Shiner Octoberfest, great stuff.

I've had the Shiner, find it a bit sweet. Nice beer, just on the sweet side of the scale for me.

Yep Marzen means March if I remember and pre-refrigerators that's when beer was brewed, then the heat made brewing ifft... but Oktoberfest (at least in Gemrnay and we know how little regard they have for beer...) is labeled as a Marzenbier. So Ayinger, brewed in Bavaria, has the name all screwed up with Ayinger Oktober Fest-Marzen on the label. Damn those Bavarians!

The Ayinger is dynamite Oktoberfest by the way, really very good this year, rich, ,alty etc... Revolution Brewing out of Chicago has a very good Oktoberfest this year, just a bit of hop (25 IBU) via Hallertauer-Hersbucker hops

Umlauts guys!

I'm trying to learn this language.

Yeah, I know. I have no flippin' clue how to find an Umlaut on my keyboard either.
