I'm crying so hard now.
Heard them first in highschool, 1978... In 1980 unchained was my wakeup song. Had my amp, turntable on a light timer! Set it up every night before bed... Arrrgh! My dreams of a vanhagar reunion are dashed. RIP King Eddie!

This was sad news ... I only listened to them during the early 80's , at some point about that time I turned into a blues guy , one of the guys he modeled himself after was Clapton , which is cool , I assume like me , he started listening to Eric's influences too... probably long before me...
