Since I have a browser on my tv, I might get to see it on a larger screen. I've been taking the Hillsdale College courses that way. The WWII lectures by Victor Davis Hanson are really good. I'm in an in-depth course on Genesis right now and their award winning course on the Constitution is after that.

I think Cash was the center of much of the story because through Mother Maybelle he can be sewn into the entire history of country until his death. He was there, or knew the people who where there for so much of the history. Kind of like the two soldiers whose letters are the center of The Civil War.

It's a very good point. The Carter family was instrumental in bringing what was mountain music a chance to enter the mainstream.
