story number one.

My youngest was diagnosed with ASD(Autism spectrum disorders) at age 3. He was around 4 and had the verbal skills of an 5 year old at the time. I work from 6pm to 6 am. At around 2 am while the wife was asleep he decided he needed to go to the store for a snack. He got the wife's key and tried to drive her car to 7-11. He got the car started and was In it when I got home at 6. The only thing he said was" I think I grounded out mommy's starter when I tried to drive her car. Shortly after that we had to install double sided deadbolts to all doors to keep him in the house while we slept. His therapist thought we were lying until she talked to him about the incident. He told her everything.

WoW!

Don't think I've told anyone here, but my youngest has Asperger's syndrome (mild on Autism spectrum).

He does lots of stupid things; but, is fairly normal in his grades, et Cetera.

Mine is like a mini Sheldon from big bang theory. His grades and test scores are way above average, he just lacks social skills, has issues with impulse control, and anger issues when something is out of his daily routine.

How are things going with your son?

They now think my son is worse than initially thought.

The easiest way to update the group is this.
My youngest has made amazing progress, but has a lot of ways to go. My wife started a fundraiser to help us with his education. Our local school system has failed him over the last 3 years. If you want to read our description here of what we are working on. It's a long read. https://www.gofundme.com/send-joshua-to-gersh
