How can it be so easy to buy Cuban music?

I was at Barnes and Noble the other day and noticed they had a pretty big selection of Cuban artists/compilations. I'm assuming these cds were recorded and distributed post-embargo, so how is the music different from anything else? I'm sure I'm supporting their economy in some way by buying the cds.

BTW I got Hecho en Cuba and Hecho en Cuba 2 and they're both awesome cds.

Sorry if this is in the wrong room, I figured this was the best place to post it.
