Starting to seem like I'm better off saving the money and just bringing my 150ct and 50ct humidors out of retirement , which I already did with the 150ct a week or so ago just to see how it worked out with saturating the cedar inside with as much moisture as it could hold, and monitoring it closely with my Boveda Butler and see where it settled at on RH with cigars in it.
With a 65% boveda it has settled at 60 to 61% at a steady 70 degrees room temperature, so seems like I need to buy a 69% boveda to get to the low 60's which I'm good with. If that still isnt enough I'll go to 72%. Same deal with the 50ct. It's still resting closed after getting its second saturation so it absorbs into the wood before letting it come down to about 70% with a couple 65% Bovedas in it, to bring it down to about 70%, at which point I'll add cigars and see where this one levels out and see what rh Boveda I need for this one. I friggin love cigars Last edited by smbauerllc; 04-21-2023 at 10:46 AM. |
