Thanksgiving meal?

K is working today and tomorrow, so we're having our meal on Friday. Our 18th anniversary is Sunday (which she is also working), so that's going to be a seafood dinner later on.

I generally cook turkeys and hams while they are cheap before the holidays, so we're tired of that by the time they arrive.

I've been busting my ass preparing food for the nurses (banana and pumpkin breads, green bean casserole and fresh salsa and guacamole) and seriously strained my back today. It's going to be the greatest hits and no big labor intensive meal. Prime rib, mashed taters and gravy, shoepeg corn, green bean casserole and store bought rolls. Chocolate pecan pie for dessert. The girls can do most of it themselves and I am happy to teach them how. Only thing missing from our traditional meal is the cranberry sauce. I really like my recipe for it, but it's never sweet enough for the rest of them, so I end up eating it all myself and it is not low carb.

So what are you having or what is your traditional Thanksgiving meal?

Free speech is free speech is free speech. There is no qualifier.

If you aren't outraged, you aren't paying attention.

Never attribute malice to that what can be explained as stupidity.

Unborn lives matter too.
