new hottop roaster
I have been using a gene roaster for years. It has been taking to long to get to second crack lately and the results were dismal. So I sucked it up and bought a hottop 8828P-2K. I did my first roast with it last night. (Ethiopian) I am very happy with it. the cracks were easy to hear and plentiful. I took the beans into second crack. about 16 minutes total. The beans look great and I can't wait to try them tomorrow morning. I had been thinking about this roaster for a long time but held off due to cost. I now believe it is worth it.
