Just smoked a LGC Tapados from 1979. This is a petite corona that has been discontinued for quite sometime now.
These came in a dress box of ten....an unusual presentation for a petite. Wrapper looked a bit rustic probably due to it's being over 20 years old. Classic LGC band, which looks quite aged, which adds to it's attraction. Draw was perfect, and produced thick clouds of smoke, which surprised me a bit. The flavor started out similar to the LGC #2, but changed to a strong cinnimon/nutmeg flavor, which intensified as the cigar progressed. I loved the sweet spice of this cigar! This cigar was a treat......aged did not diminish the enjoyment I derived from this rare cigar! Edited by - Bruce on 06/21/2002 8:41:38 PM |
