This is an easy one for me, it was the Beatles in their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. I grew up with music being played constantly in my house (Sinatra, Armstrong, Dino, etc)....but when the Beatles took the stage that night my Mother yelled at me to come inside and "Watch This!" I was awfully young, but still recall standing there mesmerized. It was shortly thereafter I became one of the very first Air Guitarists on record.....I WAS Paul.

The beach boys is the first band I really remember getting into, when i was really young (parents had a tape and I latched onto it somehow)

Metallica was probably the first band that got me thinking "hey this heavy stuff is pretty cool" and in some kind of "direction" with regard to what i listen to

As a teenager, Pearl Jam's Ten.

As a human being, Aaron Copeland's Appalachian Spring was what turned me into a true lover of music.
