The finish is unevenly applied and not all in the cracks and corners. The shelves are very thinly veneered with cedar over pressed wood. There are only 3 small dividers for the pull out drawer and all are the same size. The drawer is on top of the door, and it opens without opening the door. This is good for easy access, but bad if you want to keep people out of your cigars. The plug in the back does not fit snugly and you will need to seal it. I used a very small amount of gap filler spray which was oderless. Last, but not least, Dave will be your best buddy until you pay for your order, but he is not helpful (in my experience) after that point. All in all, for $300 it's a good humidor and will give you a ton of storage.
I think the bottom line is that if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. There is no way you can expect to spend $300 and have something that is going to be similar to an Aristocrat that would cost over $1,000. They have to make cuts somewhere. But that doesn't mean that the cheaper one won't work as a humidor. It's just not going to be the same type of quality furniture. That's why I used a cooler until I could afford the Aristocrat. I figured that if I wanted a furniture quality humidor, I might as well get one that is furniture quality. If I was just looking for a lot of storage, I would have just keep using the cooler.
