Foundation Tabernacle Goliath Figurado

Upon initial inspection this is a very well-rolled figurado with a medium to dark Habano 46 wrapper. The draw is perfect off of the cut and the aromas from the foot suggest a medium cigar with some sweetness. Tonight’s beverage is an Independence Nailed It German Chocolate Stout.



The initial flavors are somewhat sweet medium bodied tobacco. The burn is correct and the ash is developing.



In the first third the cigar takes on a light sweetness, which perfectly matches this Stout. It is medium bodied with tasty after notes. The burn is even and the ash is mottled grey.



In the first third the flavor profile is sweet with some heavier tobacco notes. It pairs well with the Ale. The burn even and the ash is firm. The retrohale is very smooth.



During the second third the smoke takes on an almost “cake” feel, taking on a light sweetness, pairing perfectly with the ale. The burn remains steady and the ash remains solid.



Approaching the final inch the ash dropped, a long time for most cigars. The flavor profile remains lightly sweet in the medium bodied smoke. The ale remains an almost perfect mix with the flavor profile. The burn remains steady.

This is an almost perfect medium bodied cigar with a good complexity of flavors. 9.2/10, this is an excellent smoke. Joe Bob says check it out.
