Thanks! I'll look for it.

Be aware that a bottle of it runs conservatively in the $130 range. First bottle of it I bought at the duty free at Heathrow. From what I understand, the UK is ending duty free (typical Labour nonsense, fixing something that isn't broken until it really is broken). I haven't seen it for awhile, but honestly I haven't looked for it for a long time.

It's worth the time and expense. Trust me on this one.

Oh, and button means bottle in autocorrectistan.

Scored a bottle of Eagle Rare 10 by chance earlier. Couple of fingers over an ice cube is pretty damned fine right now.

I'll be enjoying what I think is a regional concoction, Red Beer, a glass of beer with a splash of tomato juice. It's pretty common, especially in smaller town taverns, in this part of the country. I'm curious. Is it found in other areas?

Does it come with a tampon swizzle stick?

Seriously, I had a friend from central Illinois that liked tomato juice with beer. Being an avowed hater of tomato juice, I thought it was disgusting.

From southern Illinois west through Missouri into Kansas many small town taverns will have a pitcher of tomato juice sitting on the bar for anyone who wants some. I was introduced to it over 50 years ago by fraternity brothers who grew up in those small towns. My son-in-law from Topeka, Kansas and his buddy from western Kansas got me back into it recently tailgating before the Kansas State - Missouri game. I don't do it often but go through phases when it just hits the spot. This fall has been one of those phases.

Found a new bourbon. Bradshaw is the brand. Small batch, high octane, very smooth as it is hot and a little peppery. Under $50 price point.

I've come to the conclusion that bourbon is best at about 100 proof as the basement figure. At least for me.

Bradshaw is worth exploring. I wanted something for the holiday that I'd never had or heard of. This was a good choice.

Edit: yes, it's from that Bradshaw. May be a gimmick, but I would put my own name on it given the chance. It's a fine bourbon.

Opted for a pour of Sazerac Rye last night... Glad to see it returning to my local liquor shelves.

I have to say that Saz is my favorite mass market whiskey. And it's not distributed in Atlanta.

It's certainly one of the most approachable and 'Bourbon-like' straight ryes around, in no small measure due to its relatively high corn mashbill.
