How does one store cigars?

1. A box of cigars should be

a. left closed in the humidor
b. left with the lid propped open in the humidor
c. emptied into the humidor to age

2. Tubed cigars should be

a. left in its seal tube in the humidor
b. opened (cap off) and left in humidor
c. taken out of the tube and age it in the humidor

Whats the best choices and why?
