Uganda Organic - Bigisu - Review
UGANDA ORGANIC - BIGISU
Source - Coffee Bean Corral Roaster - Fresh Roast Plus and Poppery II Roast profile - City +/Full City Rest time - 24 hrs. Grind - Three clicks coarser than Drip on the Solis Maestro Post grind aroma - Intoxicating, nutty, deep-earth aroma. I get as much pleasure with the nose of a freshly ground coffee as I do with the the taste of freshly brewed coffee. This one doesn't disappoint, with an exotic, funky aroma. Brewer - French Press using "spring water" at 200% F for 2 1/2 minutes. One surprising note was this coffee didn't foam up quite as much as most when pouring in the water. Drinking vessel - 16oz. stainless steel mug Accompanying food - Fresh picked strawberries, shortcake, and milk, with a large dollop of whipped cream on top for good measure. Tasting notes - Medium body, nutty(walnuts?), extremely earthy, with just the right amount of acidity for my taste. The abrupt finish was very clean. An overall very good to excellent coffee, imho. Rating - /10 on the lampshade scale. Highly recommended.
