I have about 4 of 'em floating around and, like you, use it as a travel lighter. It fits perfectly in the Otter Box that's designed to hold Zippos (before the TSA started to allow Zippos in your carry-on). I pack it in my checked luggage, and so far, nobody has confiscated it yet, and at $4, who cares if they do?
