I have them, Tim. They're beads not gel (hard not soft). The noticeable differences between these and Heartfelt beads are they aren't as uniform in size and they start off (dry) about the same color (milky opaque) as wet Heartfelt beads and get more translucent when wet. Seem to work the same.
