Hi guys

we have aquired some very very rare Museum vintage ports made in the famous South Australia Barossa Valley world famous for its red wines.

below we have some very old ports

Museum release vintage port made in 1962 $ 99 per bottle
Museum release vintage port made in 1965 $ 94 per bottle
Museum release vintage port made in 1970 $ 84 per bottle
Museum release vintage port made in 1975 $ 75 per bottle
Museum release vintage port made in 1976 $ 75 per bottle
Museum release vintage port made in 1978 $ 80 per bottle
Museum release vintage port made in 1980 $ 65 per bottle

all bottles are 750mls per bottle and very rare you have not tasted anything like this port, a top havana and this port compliment each other like nothing else.

hurry as bottles are very limited

regards

I think it would be really hard to predict what you're getting with these. I know that there is a lot of "port" coming from Australia, but technically all "port" should be from Portugal. I find that most Australian ports I've had are much too sweet for my tastes.
For $65+ a bottle, you can get some of the best vintage ports from Portugal. Graham '85 is fairly common and generally can be bought for around $65-70 a bottle at an auction like winecommune.com. The benefit of a place like winecommune is that the sellers generally have reviews by wine spectator or wine advocate attached to their item descriptions. The reviews are similar to cigar Aff., not always reflecting your tastes, but will keep you from getting bad products.

Agreed. Also look for these "real ports" in the same price range:
1977 Warre
1983 Dow
1985 Dow
1985 Warre
1991 Graham
1991 Warre
1991 Dow

Doug,

You might want to contact Steven and find out if these are "true" ports or if they are the more typical Aussie offering of tawny port (which I'm betting they are). If they are indeed vintage Aussie "stickies" they may be well worth checking out if you enjoy the tawny ports. I've had the opportunity to sip some 20-30 yr old vintages that were positively sublime.

Cheers!
