Best Cigar
Well we have all had another year to enjoy cigars. What was your best cigar for this past year? Mine was the PDR A. Flores Grand Reserve Maduro. Great cigar!

RP Edge Lite Torpedo, Siglo X Belicoso and La Aurora Preferidos Robusto were three cigars I smoked for the 1st time that stood out to me this year.

Non-Cuban: Tough to pick one, but I'd probably go with Leon Jimenes Don Fernando #4. Only contender on my personal list that wasn't made by Pete or Pepin, freakin' phenomenal cigar.
Cuban: 2002 H. Upmann #2. Superb, start to finish.

That's like saying who's your favorite child. There are too many good ones to pick out just one that stood out.

I'm sure this will come as a shock to everyone here, but the best cigar I had this year, or probably any year, was a Punch. It was actually a Punch 10th Anniversary Corojo. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore.

Non-Cuban: Gran Habano Vintage 2002. Some here haven't had the same experience, but I went through about 60 of them this year, and every one oozed coffee, chocolate, and usually cedar.
Cuban: 2006 H. Upmann Mag 46. Again, pure chocolate and always consistent. |

It's hard to pin point any one cigar, but the ones I remember that were very enjoyable to me were the AB Crescendo, Prensado, and Holt's Little Havana Overuns.
My favorite all time is still the Oliva Serie G Cameroon.

Bad Frog from 2003.
Nearly 10 years of age on them. If I recall correctly these only cost $1 for a 5 pack. Definately the best cigar for less than a quarter. Last edited by FredJ_VI; 12-27-2013 at 08:52 AM. |
