Lighters
I've come to the conclusion that it's best to stick with my good old reliable Zippo. I've had thougths about picking up a nice prometheus (sp) butane but judging by all the comments I see there are more problems than it's worth. I also know that folks complain about the lighter fluid smell contaminating their cigar but I really haven't had a problem so far. I find the best thing to do is let the lighter burn for a moment before torching the cigar and it's fine.
Any thoughts or comments ?

The best one I've EVER had is a ST Dupont X-Tend. Think it's the only one they make under $300(?) and retails for about $135.

That's way out of my price range unfortunately.

S.T. Dupont X Tend or S.T. Dupont Ligne II are the only way to go.

I know Colibri gets both good and bad comments however I've had no problems with mine. I picked up the Magnum (built in cigar punch) for $19.00 from an online auction (brand new in box). Torch style / windproof.

If you want a torch, the Blazer PB-207 works great: $30. For a reasonably elegant flint lighter that won't break the bank, try a Prometheus Churchill: $85.

Best fluid lighter = Zippo. Ya learn to live with it or do without.
Best butane lighter = Corona Old Boy. Just got another (lost the first one years ago). You can't beat it. Well, you COULD beat it but why tear apart a good lighter...
