I have 3 desktops and 2 of them have the lift-out trays. I don't use the humidification thingy on the underside of the lid; instead I use a small container of Climaxx Beads on the inside (at the bottom of the humi') of those 2, under the lift-out trays. Doing it this way, the top section (in the tray) stays about 6% to nearly 10% less humid than the bottom (under the tray) section. This works out great for me because I like my smokes a little dryer than 70% storage humidity anyway when I smoke them.
