Nording Signature Freehand pipe finish question..

Okay, I purchased a Nording Signature Freehand pipe in the natural finish four to five years ago. I smoked it regularly and loved it, but quit smoking pipes when I father passed away almost four years ago. I know have the "pipe bug" and want to pull out my favorite pipe again.

I know what I need to do to "sweeten" the pipe and get the insides back to a smokeable states, but what (if anything) should I do to the outside or finish on the pipe? It is a natural and porous finish. I bought it for this very reason that that the oils from my hand and the smoke from the tobacco were the only things "staining" or coloring it. Should I just wipe it down with a dry cloth? I do not want to stain it, dye it, or use anything that will change the color of it.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Matt
