Aging tobacco

Scanning several websites yesterday I came across a couple of discussions on how to cellar and age tobacco. It appears that there are two distinct schools of thought. One school says the tobacco should be packed loosely in jars, then sealed. The other says tobacco blends marry and age better if the tobacco is packed into a tight block, as it is placed into jars, then sealed.

Any opinions?
