coolerdor humidity problems

I went to walmart this weekend and got a 48qt cooler and some green florist foam. I cut about a 3"X3"X1 1/2" section of the foam and put it in a dish. I then soaked it in a 50/50 solution of PG. My digital hygrometer (salt tested) reads about 95% after I left it in there over night. I am getting a few boxes of cigars in a day or two and I need to get the humidity figured out. Is the piece of foam too big? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks
Mojoe
