Estate pipes?????????????????
I'm in search of a good pipe to begin my pipe smoking addiction. I did an E-Bay search and saw alot of "ESTATE PIPES". I know they are used, but do people buy them to smoke or are they just a collectors thing? Is there a certain process you go through to smoke a used pipe?
BTW after an exhaustive search, I really like the Nording pipes. Something rustic about some of their designs. THANKS!

Yea, getting past that first estate pipe can be a -itch.
Think of it this way....if you clean it right it will be far cleaner than most silverware in restaraunts! For some good cleaning directions, go to www.pipes.org and find the FAQS which provide all-round great pipe advice.

Many of my pipes (all of my really good ones) are estate pipes. Pipes.org has plenty of information on cleaning. Also some of the regular vendors clean and sanitize all their listings. You might look for these as some I've purchased cheap have been pretty neglected. Ebay is also a good source for old but never smoked pipes generally at much less than new retail prices.
