Cube steak or "cook's choice ", which means a casserole made out of lunch or the previous days leftovers most likely, or soup and a sandwich is the other possibility.
The food here makes it extremely difficult to gain weight (I'm 5'5" and 122lbs, and should be 140lbs as my correct, healthy weight) The portions are very small, a dietitian decides on the food, and 90% of the time I have zero interest in what's being served, today's lunch and dinner being a perfect example. Its not uncommon for me to just snack on Ritz crackers all day instead of getting the served meal, or just not eating for up to several days straight, which I know isn't good, but at least I take a 1 a day multivitamin every morning. The last time I was in the hospital for my asthma and was on a ventilator for 4 days, weighing the same as now, my chart listed malnutrition as one of my diagnoses, granted this was before I started taking the daily vitamin which likely had some effect on that. |
