humidor problems

I've had it for about 4 months now. I seasoned it and everything was fine for a while, then i put a box of cigars in. The humidity would then not go above 55%. So i added a humi stick and still not enough change. So i go back into season mode and put 2 shot glasses of distilled water in with the 2 humidifiers. The humidity finally went up to about 65-70% and now it is steady there.....it has been for about 3 weeks. I cant understand why i need the 2 humidfiers and 2 shot glasses to keep the rh up??? Its not like the humidfiers are absorbing water either...i need to refill them every 2 weeks. Is this normal in the winter or is the seal on my humidor bad or something? it passed the flashlight test

thanks for the help
