Tall tower humidor

I recently acquired a non-rectangular humidor. This one looks like a small tower and the cigars are placed vertically in it. Ditto the drymistat stick. Having only experience with the rectangular humidor boxes, I wonder whether a vertical humidor will do the job of maintaining the proper humidity level. Wouldn't the humidity tend to concentrate at the base? Or is there no difference at all? Does anyone here own this type of humidor? Would appreciate your opinion/experience with this type of humidor.
