Draw fix
I have found that cutting off the top ends of hard drawing cigars and then letting them sit for a while seems to open them up and makes them smokable. It might have something to do with air drying out the upper part of the cigar that doesn't get penetrated with the cap on.
I always cut and try the draw of a cigar before going out and if one is hard to draw I just put it back in the humi and find one that should smoke nicely. I like them to be wide open and not even marginally hard to draw. I have done this many times and it seems that even totally plugged cigars loosen up in a week or two. |
