Questions about what may be the worst 4-letter word - MOLD

I've had my Aristocrat M+ for a couple of months now, and the 'set and forget' humidification has been keeping the RH right at 65%. I hadn't been paying any attention to the temperature inside the M+, but all of a sudden this morning I notice a handful of loose cigars with mold all over them! The temp inside the M+ was 79. Needless to say, I cranked the house A/C down since we had it set to just barely keep the house tolerable. What seemed odd to me was that seven or eight 'St. Charles' yard-gars were hit with pure white, fuzzy mold but other sticks laying right next to them were OK. I threw away the St. Charles, but two FdO Grand Camaroons in the next compartment had light mold that I wiped off. I smoked those two today, and they tasted fine. Can I compensate for temperatures in the upper seventies by lowering the RH? Are some cigars more succeptable to mold than others? I looked over everything else and didn't find any more evidence of mold. Any advice or criticism is welcome.
