Hoping the Maytag repairman will respond..... which is best for storage if using a Johnson controller? Have determined that manual defrost is optimal. Will the freezers compressor burn out quicker due to being cycled at high temps? Is there any real difference between a freezer and fridge's compressor?
Freezer's have the coolant lines running thru the interior, usually as part of the shelving, will this pose any frost accumulation problems?
Leaning toward a freezer as the entire compartment is usable, and they are generally a bit cheaper.
Experiances or opinions please.
