Las Vegas and Cigars

My wife and I just got back from a few relaxing days in Las Vegas. Very nice time. Fine dining, lots of sleeping and good shows.

I was also overjoyed to find that Las Vegas isn't just cigar "tolerant", but cigar "friendly". There were cigars EVERYWHERE.

Even the gift shop at the hotel/casino had a large, clear plastic, humidified, and nicely stocked humidor (high prices, but ...). On the counter at the registers there was a cigar box with cutters, matches and lighters so you could fire up on the spot!

When I took my seat at the bar for MNF, and I pulled out my cigar, the bartender immediately produced a very nice ceramic ashtray, a box of wooden matches, and a couple strips of cedar for lighting my cigar!!!!! A cigar smoker being treated with respect!?! I almost freakin' cried tears of joy.

It was refreshing to find a place in this world where as a cigar smoker I wasn't viewed as a criminal.
