Bud,
I've had similar experiences and the worst was in the winter. I took a HDM Excalibur outside on New Year's Eve to watch fireworks. The weather was one of those typical Texas winter nights, 30 deg. wet and windy. The cigar blew up in my hands! I do the same now and carry a "cigar purse" as my wife says. One of those soft 6 pack coolers. Works fine, a couple of ice packs, a few drinks, travel humidor and all the lighters and cutters I'll need. Barry
