I've been keeping mine in the basement and everything was fine until we had a heatwave here in Chicago, then the temp was around 75 in the humis with the rh holding nicely at 65%. Yesterday I went and bought the biggest dehumidifier that Sears makes to replace a smaller less efficient unit, and the temp in less than 24 hours is now around 72. I have a very big basement and I know that it will take a while to get it cooler.
I keep the AC in the upper part of the house around 78 degrees and that is comfortable for humans but might be bad for cigars. So I'll keep them in the basement as that seems to be the coolest part of the house. MurphMan |
